Malangen Arctic Experience is a local Arctic experience base in Malangen. We offer fjordside accommodation, private sauna experiences, local food, camping facilities and seasonal activities such as fjord cruises, fishing, northern lights experiences and Arctic outdoor living.

Malangen Arctic Experience is a our Experience branch and is fully owned and operated by Staff Camping in Malangen near Tromsø. Staff Camping has long been known as a campsite and accommodation base, while Malangen Arctic Experience brings together the local activities, sauna, food, fjord experiences and guest hospitality.

The drive from Tromsø to Malangen Arctic Experience normally takes just over one hour, depending on weather and road conditions. It is close enough for a day trip, but also a good place to stay longer if you want a quieter Arctic base outside the city.

Malangen Arctic Experience / Staff Camping is easy to reach by car, but the best route depends on where you are coming from.

From Tromsø, the most common route is via Kvaløya and the tunnel connection towards Malangen. This is a scenic and practical drive, with no ferry needed.

If you are coming from the E8, you can reach us via Fv 858 and Fv 184 towards Meistervik and Malangen.
